Menu Options
- “Secure Text” – Opens a secured text input for sending secured messages.
- “RP Mode” / “RP Off” – This will cause the Synapse to emote your transmissions into open chat.
- “BugOut” / “BugOff” – This will move the Synapse’s output to the DEBUG WINDOW. This option is really useful if you’re in a spam-heavy environment.
- “List Users” – returns a list of users on channel.
- “Send GPS” – sends your SL location, sim data, and handy SLURL to the channel.
- “My Name” – produces a textbox input to input a custom name up to 35 characters.
- “Input /x” – allows you to pick from a list of common input channels or enter a custom channel.
- “Customize” – Gives you list of options for setting the texture or color of the device. For more customization options, visit the Synapse Store in-world.

Secure Text
In some RP or Combat situations, less discerning individuals will wear scripts that listen in on subchannel chat. This may or may not be a form of cheating or simple being a tool, depending on your sim’s rules. The default input channel (/3) is definitely not secured, but left at /3 for convenience. It’s advised you change this input at your discretion.
In situations where you want to send a message that can’t be picked up by a chat spy, use the Secure Text option. It uses a really high (negative space, between 8 million and two billion) subchannel for the input that will probably not be picked up by listening scripts.
As always, Synapse is a rp tool, not a secured gateway, so don’t send account information, personal info, etc.
